NEXT BLOG EVENT
The next BLOG event will be on Saturday, 24th September - Organic Home Gardening
The next BLOG outing will be held on Saturday, 24th of September at Rex and Christine Maddocks, 26 Aldershot Road Tenterfield.
Rex will share lots of great information all with a view to growing chemical free, organic, nutrient dense vegetables and fruit. Learn how to make and use worm towers and wicking crates. Compare six different compost worm farms and find out the ones that work well and those that don’t. Learn why soil pH really matters and how to achieve that magical 6.5. See a no cost fertilizer, weed free mulch and fruit fly control in action. Discover why using the wrong manures and mulches can badly impact on your health. Rex will also answer the riddle of how cats and a robot have helped in his organic garden.
The day is FREE and starts at 10 AM EST. Visitors are welcome. Bring lunch to share plus hat, chair and eating and drinking utensils. Tea and coffee will be provided. If you are coming from Stanthorpe turn left off the highway into Martin Street, just before Tenterfield Tavern. Drive to the top of Martin Street. The road veers left-Aldershot is on the right about 100 m from the bend. Once in Aldershot Road look for BLOG signs 500 m on your right.
