BLOG Structure meeting
Thursday February 9th [11am Qld]
At the last BLOG committee meeting, it was brought to the attention of those present, that there were a number of BLOG members who would prefer BLOG to have a more formalized structure.
For those new to BLOG, it might be best to point out that BLOG has no elected positions of president, secretary etc. but rather tasks are allocated as they arise or in some cases are taken on for a longer period of time(e.g. sending out these emails). Also, all BLOG members are ‘committee members’ and are entitled to attend committee meetings or if they can’t, they can ask for something to be put on the agenda by contacting someone on the contact list.
Therefore, the meeting decided that an invitation be sent out asking those who wish to see BLOG have a more formal structure, to attend the first committee meeting for 2012 where they will have the opportunity to put forward their views.
This meeting will be held at 11am(Qld) on Thursday 9th Feb. at the Jennings Pub. Alternatively, an email outlining your argument, can be sent to for distribution at the meeting.
Saturday February 25th [10am Qld]
Our first speaker for the year will be David Goulay. David is a manufacturer of certified organic products including Neem based fertilizers & sprays to treat downy & powdery mildew.
Our venue will be Davydd Westlake’s vineyard at 818 Bents Rd., Ballandean.

Saturday March 17th [10am Qld]
The topic for March will be Vegetable Growing. This field day will be held at the Stanthorpe Community Garden.
Remember to bring along any excess produce or plants for the Bring & Buy stall. Visitors are most welcome.
