Border Landcare Organic Group (BLOG)

Border Landcare Organic Group   [BLOG]

Welcome.
The Border Landcare Organic Group was formed during the winter of 2002.
Every month members meet either at the home of one of the members for activities such as a farm walk, group discussions, interesting speakers, working bees, or we may go on a bus trip to places further afield.
These are generally held on the fourth Saturday of the month, and start at 10am EST. Talk or activity starts at 11am sharp with lunch about 12.30pm.
Bring lunch to share, cup/glass/plates etc and a seat. Don’t forget your hat!
If unsure of directions, ring one of the contacts listed below.

BLOG Structure meeting
Thursday February 9th    [11am Qld]

At the last BLOG committee meeting, it was brought to the attention of those present, that there were a number of BLOG members who would prefer BLOG to have a more formalized structure.
For those new to BLOG, it might be best to point out that BLOG has no elected positions of president, secretary etc. but rather tasks are allocated as they arise or in some cases are taken on for a longer period of time(e.g. sending out these emails). Also, all BLOG members are ‘committee members’ and are entitled to attend committee meetings or if they can’t, they can ask for something to be put on the agenda by contacting someone on the contact list.
Therefore, the meeting decided that an invitation be sent out asking those who wish to see BLOG have a more formal structure, to attend the first committee meeting for 2012 where they will have the opportunity to put forward their views.
This meeting will be held at 11am(Qld) on Thursday 9th Feb. at the Jennings Pub. Alternatively, an email outlining your argument, can be sent to  for distribution at the meeting.
