I'd love to try organising someone who is willing to travel to Stanthorpe over a series of weekends to run the Permaculture Design Course.
Is anyone else in town interested?
I imagine we'd need to travel to their site at least a couple of weekends, as seeing a working permaculture farm in person would be integral to the course. But if we had enough people here and people were willing to pay a little bit more to cover travel and accommodation costs of the teacher, then it could save a lot of us two weeks accommodation and travel and time/holiday time.
I find that I just can't get my head around how I will ever be able to take two whole weeks off from work/family to do the course (until I'm old and grey and have already made all the mistakes with my land).
There is a teacher in Lismore and one in Armidale that I know of, but I don't know anyone with personal experience with them. I did a short weekend course with the teachers at Crystal Waters near Maleny, and they were great, but that might be a bit of a hike for them to come for a series of weekends. Any suggestions for teachers to approach?
