Life moves in patterns – cycles within cycles. Understanding these patterns and where you fit in is Numerology. Looking at situations and choices is Tarot.
To do a Tarot reading I first look at your Numerology. The numerology I do is a basic chart of your numbers that identifies the path you are on and the dominant patterns of behaviour that make you who you are. In light of this a Tarot reading may suggest available choices for a given situation. It’s about determining what a responsible choice is for you.
Note – nobody predicts the future here. You make your own future through the choices you make and how you interact with life. A lot of it is to do with “cause and effect” and you may be acting as a cause or acting because of an effect. It’s up to you. Awareness helps.
I can help by explaining the patterns and the paths.
Successful contemplation of the Tarot means that you take a little bit of time to think about you, your life and your circumstances. Consider what course your life is taking – what’s going on and why. A little bit of time taken to centre yourself is worthwhile time.
If there are major issues going on then you may find a series of readings helpful until your life balances. Take it step by step.
The Tarot reading I do is known as the Celtic Cross and consists of laying 10 Tarot cards. A short Tarot reading lays the cards once and then an interpretation of the cards is given. A long Tarot reading involves at least 3 layings of the cards each drilling deeper into the matter under analysis. This is quite extensive and may involve one to two hours of consultation.
Readings may be conducted face to face if you request. Generally I’m happy to do the reading – write it up and then email you a document. Contact me and we can discuss arrangements.
For a Tarot reading and a Numerology Chart please provide an email or written request that includes:
When requesting a Tarot reading please provide a brief statement or question of the matter you are asking about. Note that the more specific you are with your statement then I can provide a more specific response. Vague statements lend themselves to vague readings.
Your birth date identifies a basic number between 1 and 9 that reflects a basic type. Types are like coins – they have a front and a back – head & tail. These aspects are identified by the numbers 1 to 9 and 11 to 19.
The cycles of life move in a pattern of an outer journey followed by an inner journey. The outer journey relates to the development of the ego and is generally more aggressive, demanding, power-oriented and action based. The outer journey is identified by the numbers 1 to 9.
The inner journey develops the conscious self and control over the ego. The inner journey is more contemplative, gentle, patient and passive. These aspects are identified by the numbers 11 to 19.
The 22 cards of the Tarot Major Arcana reflect this model with the 1-9 and 11-19 identifying the different types and the paths that we are travelling.
The first card of the Tarot Major Arcana has the number zero (0) and is called “The Fool”. This is the traveller on the journey. This is the beginning where we come from and everything comes from nothing.
The last card of the Tarot Major Arcana – the 22nd card – is numbered 21 and is called “The World”. This is where we are all going to return. From nothing we achieve everything – the world – the universe.
The Wheel of Fortune Tarot card has the number 10 (although it is the 11th card). This shows a wheel turning and balancing. This is the point where the outer journey turns and the inner journey becomes the focus. This is a review point where it is determined the types of lessons to be learned on the inner journey as a result of our ego development on the outer journey.
Judgment is the card that has the number 20 (although it is the 21st card) and this occurs at the end of each cycle. It is a review of how we have fared on a complete cycle.
This model essentially follows the structure and principles of the Jewish Kabbalah and the Tree of Life.
